What is Fahstwall panel composed of?

Fahtswall panels are made from a composite of concrete, EPS granules, organic and inorganic fibers; sandwiched by moisture-proof calcium silicate boards on both sides.

What are the sizes of Fahstwall panels?

Fahstwall panels come with a fixed size of 2440mm x 610mm (8ftx2ft). In terms of thickness, we have 5 thicknesses that you may choose from namely: 75mm (3inches), 90mm (3.5inches), 100mm (4inches), 120mm (5inches) and 150mm (6inches) thick.

What is a Fahstwall Adhesive?

Fahstwall Adhesive is cement based premixed adhesive applicable in between panels during installation to join the panels together. Each bag weights 25kg. You only need to add right amount of water to the mixture to use. Ratio is 1kg of water to 4kgs of adhesive. Setting time is about 1 minute.

How long is the delivery lead time?

Standard delivery lead time is 2-3 weeks after confirmation of order. We have reserved buffer panels to cater for immediate needs. However, for big orders, we encourage that you give us your desired delivery schedule so that we can incorporate it into our production schedule.

Is Fahstwall panels produced locally or imported?

Fahstwall panels are produced locally at Mandaue City, Cebu. Soon we will also have our second factory located at Panabo, Davao to cater to the southern Mindanao market.

What is the difference between the calcium silicate board and fiber cement?

Unlike fiber cement, the calcium silicate board has a relatively low rate of change after absorbing water and is insoluble in water. It is a board for construction that resists moisture well, and has also been identified as a high-class thermal insulator being widely used in Europe replacing asbestos.

What is the maximum wall height and width before a concrete or steel support is needed?

If the height of the wall exceeds 3.66 m, a lintel or secondary beam should be installed. If the width of the wall exceeds 6.0 m, a stiffener column should be planted.

Can we use other brands of adhesive for panel installation?

We highly recommend using our own adhesive that comes with the panel for definite compatibility. However, should the client insist on using other alternatives, we would suggest using a heavy-duty adhesive for a strong hold between panels.

What weight is the panel capable of holding/carrying when an object is mounted to the wall (e.g TV, hanging cabinet, etc)?

The Fahstwall panel can carry a mounted object of at most 20kg per screw using a chipboard screw in size 6mm x 3”. Therefore, if the weight of your object to be mounted weighs 40 kgs, you simply need 2 screws at least 4 inches apart.

Is tile adhesive compatible with the surface of the panel?

Yes, tile adhesive is compatible with the surface of the Fahstwall panel. You may also opt to grind the surface to achieve better bonding since Fahstwall panel surface is smooth.

How much is the installation cost per square meter?

On average, the installation labor cost of Fahstwall panel is ± ₱200.00 per square meter (sub-con’s market rate). The cost may change depending on the actual project’s condition. In house labor would be less depending on the installers’ proficiency. For reference, a team of 3 labors should be able to install a minimum of 30 square meters per day.

Are the joints moisture-proof?

We recommend water-proofing of the panel joints especially for exterior walls.

What finishing materials should be used in filling the gaps between the Fahstwall panel and the main structure?

We recommend the Fahstwall adhesive for concrete structure, and sealant for steel structure. There are several ways to fill the gaps depending on the design of the structure which you may contact us for more details.

What should be used to fill the gap between the Fahstwall panel and door or window jambs?

The expandable foam (PU) may be used for the gaps, but it could be costly. We would recommend non-sag marine epoxy to fill up the gap.
What should be used on the panel surface prior to painting?
First, apply acrytex primer on the surface and joint of the panel, then you proceed to the first coating.
